This finely crafted 108 bead rosewood kriya mala with oblong pearl counter beads is useful in the practice of mantra or kriya yoga. One round equals nine sets of Kriya. It can also be used for other japa practices using mantras.
Marion Welborn, our designer, is a kriya yoga practitioner of 24 years. While working on the malas, she is in a calm and peaceful state of mind and environment, and infuses each mala she makes with devotion and blessings for the future owner. The meditative energy infused into the mala can be felt.
As Marion handles the beads she is aware of their distinct qualities. Being a native of Germany, she values good craftsmanship and applies that to her own work.
About the Materials
Rosewood calms the mind without making one drowsy, making it excellent for meditation.
Pearls symbolize purity and spiritual transformation. Simply wearing a pearl reminds the wearer to be honest, pure, wise, and to walk with the utmost dignity.
