Thich Nhat Hanh is a Vietnamese Zen master, born in 1926. He is a teacher, scholar, poet, and peace activist, who lectures throughout the world on the art of mindful living.
His dedication to peace and his compassionate understanding of the human condition have made him one of the world's most admired spiritual leaders. He has written more than 100 books of poetry, fiction, and philosophy. He is the founder of Plum Village, a community for retreat and mindful practice in France.
Nicholas Kirsten-Honshin and Richard Kirsten-Daiensai, a father-son team, bring together 130 years of art experience expressed as meditational and healing images. Their inspiration comes directly from their own meditation and the influences of Christianity, Zen Buddhism, Tibetan Buddhism and the ancient American Shamanism practices of the world's perennial philosophies, embodying the connectedness of all things in the universe. Their prayer is that their art will help ease the suffering and pain in our world with a moment of beauty and peace and bring liberation for all beings.
