Renee Locks has been a multimedia artist, calligrapher, and poet in the San francisco Bay area for more than thirty years. Her expressive work combines the delight she feels in the magic of nature with infinite variety of color and light on trees and flowers. Renee's art invites us to remember not only the wonder in our world, but also in ourselves.
Pairing her love of painting with calligraphy, Renee's work is inspired by the simplicity and directness of Japanese art. Her pieces nourish, heal and bless the mind, heart and spirit.
Living in the Bay Area's Marin County, Renee is the proud mother of 5 grown children and grandmother of 11. She has taught calligraphy for more than 10 years and has been involved with both Marin Abused Women Services and the Peace Center of Marin.
