Description:
Experience Divine Happiness. Chanting is an ancient technique for focusing and uplifting the mind and soul into higher states of consciousness. According to ancient yoga teachings, happiness in its highest form is pure Bliss. The chants on this recording will help you feel this more deeply.
Bliss Chants features chants written by Paramhansa Yogananda, author of the spiritual classic Autobiography of a Yogi, and Swami Kriyananda, a direct disciple of Yogananda. They are performed by Ananda Kirtan, a group of singers and musicians from Ananda—the world’s largest network of yoga communities. Chanting is accompanied by guitar, harmonium, kirtals, and tabla.

What Others are Saying:
The combined voices of Ananda Kirtan provide bliss indeed! These singers, from the Ananda network of yoga communities chant the sacred poetry of Parmhansa Yogananda and Swami Kriyananda, including pieces like "O God Beautiful" and "I Will Drink Thy Name." The music has a strong sense of happiness and joy, sung in chorus form by the singers. Even in CD form, its easy to sense the camaraderie in the room and one can easily imagine the singers swaying and smiling as they sing. Besides voice, the album also features catchy rhythms, harmonium in the backdrop and guitar. —Music Design
