This finely hand crafted 108 bead Rudraksha Kriya mala, with smooth amethyst counters every twelve beads and a larger amethyst guru bead, is an aid to the practice of Kriya Yoga.
The Rudraksha is a large evergreen broad-leaved tree which grows in the area from the Gangetic Plain to the foothills of the Himalayas. Rudraksha trees are also found in middle areas of Nepal.
Rudraksha beads are the material from which sacred garlands (108 beads in number) or rosaries are made. The term is used both for the berries themselves and as a term for the type of mala made from them.
The Rudraksha are termed "The Tears of Lord Siva." They are seen as the original Vedic Beads of Power worn by the Yogis of India and the Himalayas for thousands of years to maintain health and to gain self empowerment and fearless life on their path to enlightenment and liberation.
This mala is approximately 31".
